Amazon Volunteer has access to over 100 acres of Eco-Farm Recreo in Villa Rica. This is one of several locations where we run other components of the program as well. If you choose to volunteer with us, you will have the opportunity to work with and learn about hundreds of native trees. The variety of plants ranges from industrial uses to exotic fruits, medicinal trees, and plants such as Sangre de Grado, Panidishu, Uno de Gato, and Guanabana. Additionally, we have a completely organically grown vegetable garden with a variety of rare and common vegetables. Alternatively, you may elect to work with animals, ranging from fish ponds to chickens to horses. All of these options are also part of our student’s education program.
We also offer homestay options at the Eco-Farm Recreo, which includes a swimming pool and sports complex. Moreover, the property boasts extensive hiking trails with rivers and small waterfalls.
Many pof the students from this agricultural community take on leadership roals based on their knowledge of the land. This creates another unique avenue toward witnessing.
